Parts Of The Female Reproductive System
In order to understand our bodies more, alongside the menstrual cycle, it is essential to learn about the female reproductive system, where menstruation occurs to better understand our bodies and take care of them.


Cervix
The cervix is the lowest part of the uterus. The cervix allows sperms to enter it and for menstrual blood to leave.
Vagina
The vagina is the organ that connects the uterus to the rest of the human body. It can adapt by widening and shrinking if need be, for example to allow a baby to come out.
Uterus
The uterus is the organ above the vagina, which holds the fetus during pregnancy. The uterus consists of two parts – The cervix, listed above, and the significantly larger part, the corpus.
Ovaries
The ovaries, located on either side of the uterus, forms eggs as well as hormones.
Fallopian Tubes
The fallopian tubes are the organs above the ovaries, and allow the eggs to travel from the ovaries to the uterus.
